HEIKKI HUOTARI The Rule When the linear converges to a point, the planar to an edge, the solid to a wall, then I will be your poster child, I will be your belief in me and have a needing, feeling foot on each of eight silk strands. When God has neither motive, means nor opportunity then you are not His Victim. You fast-forwarded through half of life because you thought you knew the rule. Heikki Huotari is a retired math professor based in San Rafael, California. He won the 2016 Gambling the Aisle poetry chapbook prize. His poems have appeared in journals such as Poetry Northwest, The American Journal of Poetry, The Stockholm Review of Literature and Crazyhorse. Forthcoming books are to be published by Lynx House and Willow Springs. |
