KEVIN GRIFFIN Hooves have stamped on last week's world. And so are fossils made. Someone kicked my verbs away, the adjectives I hid in shrubs and frenzy till they lost patience and sang forging a reverie near the warble of flowering. A man on a ladder reaches to a sky that allows a reaping. I am hearing the rumble of hooves. Kevin Griffin is a retired teacher from Killorglin, Co. Kerry, Ireland. He has had poems published in a number of magazines, inckuding The SHOp, Crannog, The Salzburg Review, Stony Thursday, Revival, Orbis, Pennine Ink. He is working towards his first collection. |
